The ATBI is gaining ground in scientific discoveries! As of January, 2010 DLIA's ATBI Program has resulted in the identification of over 900 species new to science. Plus, in just over a decade we have coordinated the discovery of over 6,500 more species previously known to exist, but not known to inhabit the Park.

Discover Life in America (DLIA) is the non-profit organization coordinating the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI) in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
