Immediate/Ongoing Opportunities


Clerical:

Office Assistant needed 4 hours/week (could be more if willing); reports to Executive Director Todd Witcher and occasionally Volunteer Coord. Heather MacCulloch.

Making phone calls, filing, office organization, various projects within the office.

Computer/Technical:

ATBI Database Entry Specialist needed 8 hours/week; reports to Database Manager Chuck Cooper

Accompany and help visiting scientists enter collection data; take historic documents, extract data, and enter in database via Park's database entry interface

Web Editor needed 8-12 hours/week (4hr days 3x/week); reports to Executive Director Todd Witcher

Assist in website updates and management.  DLIA has a new website and needs help in moving information from the old website to the new and keeping the new website current with upcoming events, species of the week, etc. Experience or knowledge of Drupal would be helpful but not required.

 

Fundraising:

Grantwriting needed 4 hours/week; reports to Executive Director Todd Witcher.  Hours could be more when finishing reports to submit to granting institution.  Otherwise; researching opportunities for grants and applying for grants.

Assist in researching and preparing grants to fund educational programs, research, exhibits, and equipment.  Grant writing experience necessary.  Create necessary interim and final project reports for granting institutions.
